Tranmere came from two goals down to claim a 2-2 draw at Dagenham & Redbridge and maintain their unbeaten away record in 2010-11.
At 2-0 up with a qyarter of an hour left, the Daggers looked on course for a comfortable win but Enoch Showunmi's goal brought Rovers back into the contest and Aaron Cresswell fired Les Parry's side level a minute from the end of normal time to the delight of the travelling support.
There were two changes to the side that started against Swansea, with Kayleden Brown taking the place of Terry Gornell following his move to Accrington Stanley and Ryan Fraughan coming in for Ian Thomas-Moore who missed out altogether. Jack Mackreth was named on the bench for Rovers who had only six substitutes.
Dagenham spent the opening few minutes in the Rovers half and saw a Peter Gain shot blocked by Paul McLaren.
Romain Vincelot fired wide on 11 minutes as the home side continued to enjoy the better of the opening stages, while Joe Collister did well to save Danny Green's long range snap shot six minutes later.
Tranmere's first shot came from a McLaren corner on 22 minutes, but John Welsh's effort went high over the bar.
Collister dealt well with Green's corner on 25 minutes, while Rovers were forced into a change ten minutes later, with the limping McLaren replaced by Zoumana Bakayogo. The move saw Bakayogo slot in to the centre of defence alongside Ian Goodison with Max Blanchard moving into the holding midfield role.
Goodison used his experience to snuff out attacks from Green and Paul Benson as the sides went into half time all square.
The Daggers again started the brighter with Green's cross causing problems for Rovers and Collister fortunate to see the home side shoot wide after he dropped the ball.
Rovers responded with an attack of their own with John Welsh finding Brown whose shot was deflected over the top.
However, the home side took the lead on 52 minutes. Peter Gain's cross gave Vincelot saw Vincelot break free of Goodison and the midfielder sent his header past Collister and into the net.
The goal gave John Still's side confidence and Mark Arber brought a decent stop out of Collister soon after.
Arber headed wide from a Dagenham corner on 70 minutes but the home side's captain made certain with his next effort, volleying in from a corner to put the Daggers 2-0 up.
An ankle injury forced Joss Labadie out of the game on 75 minutes, with striker Adam McGurk replacing him, while Lucas Akins joined the action in place of Brown.
The changes led to an immediate response from Rovers, with Goodison knocking a Welsh cross down and Showunmi firing in for his second goal of the season from six yards.
A change in formation saw Blanchard revert to centre back with Bakayogo moving to left back and Cresswell to left midfield.
It was Cresswell who dramatically brought Rovers level. Tranmere were awarded a free kick around 25 yards from goal and the young defender powered in a shot from an acute angle.
Danny Green sent a free kick wide of the target for Dagenham a minute later, while Rovers went close to a winner in the final minute, with Welsh firing over after the home side failed to clear Bakayogo's cross.
