Tranmere's poor run of results at the County Ground continued with a 1-0 defeat against Swindon Town.
A first half penalty from Danny N'Guessan gave the home side the win. The result saw Ronnie Moore's side drop to the bottom of League 1 and was the Club's sixth game in a row in Swindon without a win.
A late change from the team sheet saw Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro replaced by Akpo Sodje in the starting line-up. Elsewhere in the team Danny Holmes, new loan signing Jim McNulty, Ian Goodison and Max Power all came into the side.
The first few minutes of the game were fairly cagey with neither side willing to risk men forward. It took until eight minutes for the first shot of the match but Nathan Byrne's strike from 30 yards failed to cause Owain Fon Williams and problems.
Rovers responded with a quick attack but after Chris Atkinson broke into the Robins' area his cross for Power was cut out by the home defence.
Byrne curled over from the edge of the area on 15 minutes and Atkinson dragged a shot wide at the opposite end from a similar position a minute later.
Swindon went close twice in quick succession around the 18 minute mark. First Nile Ranger headed into the side netting from a right wing cross and soon after Jay McEveley ran behind the Rovers defence to meet a lofted cross but he put his header straight into the arms of Fon Williams.
Yaser Kasim sent a right foot shot narrowly past Fon Williams' right hand post on 23 minutes after side stepping Power and five minutes later the home side took the lead. Alex Pritchard ran into the area to meet a pass from Danny N'Guessan and a penalty was awarded when he went down under a challenge from Tom Hateley. Fon Williams failed to make it two spot kick saves in eight days as N'Guessan sent him the wrong way, finding the bottom left corner from 12 yards.
On 43 minutes a right wing cross from Holmes found Ridehalgh unmarked in the Swindon area. The Huddersfield Town loanee side stepped two challenges before firing off a shot but his right foot effort was well saved by Wes Foderingham.
A cross from McNulty had to be tipped over the Swindon bar by Foderingham in the first minute of the second half but it wasn't until the 59th minute that either side registered a shot. After Foderingham had caught Ridehalgh's left wing cross Swindon broke quickly and Byrne forced Fon Williams into a save with a curling shot from outside the Tranmere area.
Pritchard and N'Guessan failed to trouble Fon Williams with 25 yard shots on 66 minutes
Cole Stockton replaced Sodje on 73 minutes and soon after Rovers went close to an equaliser, with Lowe hitting the side netting from Atkinson's corner.
Lowe was involved again on 77 minutes when he was picked out by Power following a knock down from Stockton but the striker's shot was blocked and he lost his footing as he chased down the rebound.
Baggie and Rowe replaced Ridehalgh and Hateley as the game in the final ten minutes and a foul on the former gave Rovers a late free kick but Atkinson's ball into the box was cleared by the hosts.
