Goals from Cole Stockton and Max Power earned Tranmere a 2-0 away win over Wycombe Wanderers and Rob Edwards' first victory as Rovers manager.
The pair scored either side of half time while Owain Fon Williams made a number of crucial saves to keep the Club's first clean sheet of the season.
Rob Edwards made three changes to the side that started at Shrewsbury, with Jason Koumas, Eliot Richards and Marcus Holness coming into the side in place of Matt Gill and injured pair Abdulai Baggie and Danny Holmes.
Wycombe keeper Matt Ingram kept out a header from Marcus Holness at a corner in the fifth minute following a bright start from Rovers but the action quickly swung to the other end.
Owain Fon Williams parried and then collected a long range strike from Max Kretzschmar on six minutes and dived to his right a minute later to catch a header from Michael Ihiekwe which was heading towards his own net.
The Tranmere keeper saved again from Sido Jombati on 12 minutes while Jake Kirby headed over from a Marc Laird cross three minutes later.
Rovers took the lead on 19 minutes. Danny Woodards found Max Power from a throw in and his cross was hooked into the top left corner by Cole Stockton from ten yards for the striker's first goal of the season.
Kretzschmar shot just past Fon Williams' left hand post from 30 yards on 31 minutes and the Wycombe midfielder saw a curling 20 yard free kick turned away from the top corner by the keeper ten minutes later.
Fon Williams was called into action again five minutes into the second half, with the Welshman diving high to his left to push Sam Wood's shot away from goal.
Paul Hayes broke into the Tranmere area on 52 minutes only for Matt Hill to clear the danger and the Tranmere defender was involved again minutes later at the other end as Rovers doubled their lead. The defender cut in from the left and found Richards inside the area. He played the ball back to Power and his drilled first time shot went through a crowded area into the bottom right corner.
McClure headed wide on 57 minutes and a shot from Hayes deflected past the post seven minutes later as the hosts looked for a way back into the game.
Fon Williams did well to save and hold on to a long range angled strike from Hayes on 77 minutes while Power and Ihiekwe blocked shots from Gareth Ainsworth's side to earn Rovers a clean sheet and three points.
