A second half goal from Ricky Miller was enough for Luton Town to defeat Tranmere 1-0 at Kenilworth Road in Sky Bet
Rovers battled well against the Hatters, who went top of the division with the win, but couldn't find a way past Mark Tyler in the home goal.
Micky Adams made three changes to the side that defeated Bury 2-1 as Janoi Donacien, Marc Laird and Armand Gnanduillet came in for Danny Holmes, James Rowe and Abdulai Baggie.
Danny Johnson curled the first shot of the game wide of the left hand post from 25 yards on three minutes and the striker had the ball in the Luton net four minutes later after good work from Gnanduillet but the assistant referee's flag was raised for offside.
Johnson was played through by Donacien on ten minutes and called Luton keeper Mark Tyler into action with a low angled shot, while the Hatters went close soon after when Michael Harriman volleyed wide at the back post from Luke Guttridge's left wing cross.
Power forced Tyler into a save at his bottom left corner on 17 minutes after good work from Marc Laird and Johnson shot wide from 20 yards soon after following a long spell of Rovers possession.
Peter Brezovan did well to tip a volley from Guttridge over his crossbar on 28 minutes and the keeper was quickly off his line to gather at the feet of Mark Cullen soon after.
At the other end Gnanduillet fired high over the bar and Rovers pressured following a couple of corners without testing Tyler.
Brezovan saved Guttridge's back post volley on 40 minutes while Liam Ridehalgh sent a late first half free kick into the wall for Tranmere.
The home side started the second half well and after a long spell of pressure saw Guttridge shoot across goal and just past the far post following a cut back from Cullen.
A driving run from Gnanduillet saw the striker break into the Luton area and roll the ball back to Power on 53 minutes and his first time shot was parried by Tyler before being cleared.
At the other end Marcus Holness and Josh Thompson combined to prevent Paul Benson from getting a shot on goal and a volley from Luke Wilkinson hit a body on the line following a corner before being cleared.
Shots from Johnson and Gnanduillet were both turned behind for Tranmere corners, neither of which the visitors could capitalise on.
Rovers fell behind on 70 minutes. The ball was played to substitute Ricky Miller midway inside the Tranmere half and he turned past Laird before curling past Brezovan from 25 yards.
Evan Gumbs made his first team debut as a replacement for the injured Josh Thompson soon after the goal while Kayode Odejayi came on for Laird.
Holness shot wide from a Power corner on 80 minutes and Gnanduillet headed across goal and wide soon after.
Drury fired just past the post for Luton on 87 minutes while Tyler did well to turn a back post Odejayi header behind for a corner in the first minute of added time.
