Tranmere picked up another point on the road with a hard-fought 0-0 draw at a wet EBB Stadium against Aldershot Town.
Gary Brabin made two changes to the side which beat Southport last weekend. Into the team came new signing Michael Higdon for his debut and Jack Mackreth made his first start in a Rovers shirt. Steven Jennings missed out through suspension and Gary Taylor-Fletcher was named among the substitutes.
Tranmere started brightly and had the first chances of the game with Lee Vaughan and Jeff Hughes both having shots deflected narrowly over the crossbar in the opening 15 minutes.
After a scrappy spell, Aldershot had their first effort on goal in the 33rd minute when striker Charlie Walker fired in a low shot from 20 yards which Scott Davies saved low down to his right.
Four minutes later, the Walkers were involved as Dan found Charlie whose shot went just over the bar.
The hosts finished the first half well with Beckles sending a header narrowly over the bar while Jay Harris sent a shot wide with the last kick of the half as the sides went in at the break with the scores goalless.
Rovers had the first opportunity of the second period as Michael Higdon laid the ball into Lois Maynard's path only for the St Kitts & Nevis international's shot to be saved by Phil Smith at his near post.
Gary Brabin made his first change of the game with 20 minutes remaining as Gary Taylor-Fletcher came on in place of Jack Mackreth.
On 73 minutes, a deep cross by Liam Ridehalgh almost found Higdon at the back post but it was inches too far ahead of the debutant.
With six minutes remaining, Higdon laid the ball to Jeff Hughes who turned and shot from 20 yards but his effort flew narrowly over the bar.
Three minutes into added time, Taylor-Fletcher met Vaughan's cross from the right but his header was inches wide of the target in the final act of the game.
