Tranmere Rovers manager Nigel Adkins praised his team’s ‘well-deserved victory’ over AFC Wimbledon as they were 3-2 winners in our final home game at Prenton Park.
“Well-deserved victory as you say. Five goals for the fans, but it should have been a hell of a lot more from us.
“We played some good football. It was going to be a competitive game as it was, obviously one of their players got sent off in the second half, and that showed how committed and competitive the game was.
“I thought we played some good football at times, created some real good opportunities, we had a good centre forward in Luke Norris today we could bounce the ball into, could secure it, we could play off him with little one-twos and everything.”
