Tranmere Rovers will take on Premier League side Liverpool FC in a pre-season friendly at Prenton Park on Wednesday 12 July, 7:45pm kick-off.
It will be the second summer in a row that Liverpool FC boss Jurgen Klopp has brought a strong side to Birkenhead, with the Reds winning 1-0 in July 2016 courtesy of a Danny Ings goal in the second half. That game saw Andy Cook and Connor Jennings make their first appearances in Rovers shirts.
This summer, Micky Mellon has signed former Reds winger Jack Dunn and midfielder Ollie Norburn, while Liverpool have recruited Chelsea striker and Under-20 World Cup winner Dominic Solanke.
Like last year's game, home fans will be located in the Cowshed Stand, with Liverpool fans situated in the North Star Environmental Kop Stand.

, if purchased before the day of the game (or online on the day of the game), are priced at £20 adults, £15 seniors and young persons and £8 under-18s. Any tickets remaining on the day of the game in store or on the turnstiles will be £22 adults, £17 seniors and young persons and £10 under-18s.
Rovers will also play a friendly away against Ashton United on Saturday 22 July, kick-off 3:00pm at Hurst Cross in addition to the games which have already been announced against Cammell Laird (Saturday 15 July), Fleetwood Town (Tuesday 25 July) and Bury (Friday 28 July).
