Under-16s beat Exeter City in cup final

Tranmere Rovers Under-16 have won a national title following a 5-4 penalty victory over Exeter City after a 1-1 draw.

The team, coached by former Rovers players Kenny Irons, Evan Horwood and Alan Morgan, took the lead in the first half before a penalty equalised the scores in the second half.

There was a long stoppage in play while an ambulance was called for what looked a serious injury, but Rovers refocused and lifted the trophy after winning the penalty shoot-out 5-4.

We will have reaction on Monday as well as photos from the final.

A huge well done to the coaching staff and all the players on becoming national champions!
