Tranmere's pre-season preparations continued with a 3-3 draw at Fleetwood Town on Saturday afternoon.
Rovers twice recovered from being two goals down, scoring through Zoumana Bakayogo, Ash Taylor and Jonathan Tehoue.
An early free kick from Jon Parkin failed to trouble Owain Fon Williams in the Rovers goal while the keeper comfortably dealt with a long range effort from the Gerard Kinsella on six minutes.
Trialist Jonathan Tehoue forced Scott Davies to tip over with a fierce shot from 25 yards on five minutes but soon after the home side took the lead. Former Preston North End midfielder Barry Nicholson broke into the Rovers area and sent a right foot finish past Fon Williams for his first goal for the club.
Tranmere wasted a chance to level on 15 minutes when the ball fell to Zoumana Bakayogo ten yards from goal but he could only hit the top left corner of the woodwork after controlling.
A minute later Rovers found themselves 2-0 down. This time David Ball provided the goal with a shot across Fon Williams and in off the bottom of the left hand post after he broke clear of Liam Chilvers.
Ronnie Moore's side reduced the deficit on 23 minutes after Tehoue had won a corner on the right hand side. The ball was crossed in by new signing Joe Thompson and headed in by Bakayogo.
The pair combined again two minutes later, this time Bakayogo sending in a cross from which Thompson's header was clawed away from goal by Davies. The ball fell straight back to the former Rochdale winger but his right foot volley hit a defender on the line and was cleared.
The woodwork was hit again on 29 minutes, this time at the Tranmere end as Parkin curled a low shot against the right hand post from 25 yards and the striker sent another effort over the bar four minutes later.
Fleetwood extended their lead five minutes into the second half when Andy Mangan's back post header was ruled to have crossed the line before Fon Williams clawed the ball away.
However, within sixty seconds Rovers brought the deficit back to one when Taylor met Max Power's well flighted cross with a powerful header past the keeper.
Power's attempt to level the score on 54 minutes from 30 yards was easily saved and it was the last real action the midfielder saw as he was part of a triple substitution on the hour mark that saw Liam Chilvers and Cassidy also replaced as Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro, James Wallace and Mark McChrystal came on.
Danny Holmes' left foot shot was parried by Davies on 66 minutes while Wallace blocked an attempt on goal from Shaun Beeley soon after.
Rovers' equaliser came on 75 minutes. Tehoue powered his way through the home defence to run to Taylor's header and fired low past Davies with his right foot from the edge of the area.
Andy Robinson replaced Thompson on 78 minutes with Abdulai Bell-Baggie joining the action three minutes later in place of Bakayogo. Another late change saw Akpa Akpro come off after picking up a knock, replaced by Liam Palmer.
