Tranmere Rovers International announce a new partnership with Old Line Soccer Academy

23 April 2021

Tranmere Rovers International are pleased to announce a new partnership with Old Line Soccer Academy from Maryland, Baltimore.

Old Line Soccer Academy was founded in 2017 and focuses on nurturing the long-term development of players. With a specific focus on individual and team development, Old Line strives to foster the growth and enjoyment of players in a community atmosphere to provide players with enjoyable experiences and opportunities to grow as soccer players and people.

Currently working with 100 players, their Academies model will continue to grow every year by introducing new age groups as they grow organically.

Tranmere Rovers Football Club have been working over the last few months to develop our relationship with the Academy, their coaches and parents to introduce them to the Club and showing them what we have to offer through a number of online webinars.

We will kick start our partnership by heading over to Maryland in the Summer to put on soccer camps for both the players and coaches with the hope that the team will be able to head over to Prenton Park in the near future.

Directors of Old Line SA, Nate Posluszny, said: “Old Line SA started with the commitment to developing soccer players. We focus on the long-term aspect of the game and what the players can grow into.

“We have had international partnerships in the past but nothing like what Tranmere have to offer. It’s a real person to person relationship with the Club itself and that’s what stood out to us.

“Being able to grow our club and our development program with a Club like Tranmere that is world renowned is brilliant, their reputation speaks for itself. We are also extremely excited for our first visit to the Club.

“We hope for a long-lasting partnership of developing the next generation of soccer players. In ten years both organisations can watch and grow players who have come through our Club as they progress onto the next stage of their soccer career hopefully in the university of their choice.”

Dan O’Donnell, Technical Director of Tranmere Rovers International expressed his delight the agreement had been reached.

He added: “Tranmere Rovers International Soccer Academy are delighted to announce our partnership with Old Line. Pat and I met via the US Soccer Convention back in January and through a series of zooms and phone calls it became apparent how similar the long-term development strategies of each club are.

“Pat introduced us to Nate and Henry and from there the relationship has grown to the point where we are working with each other to develop coach, player and parent education resources for Old Line all using our online education platform.

“We are extremely excited about the potential of this partnership and are hoping to visit the team in Baltimore as early as August this year.”
