Chairman Lorraine Rogers was full of praise for the 400 odd supporters who made the trip to Gillingham at the weekend.
The Superwhite Army had plenty to cheer about as Rovers came away with all three points thanks to goals from Chris Greenacre and Steve Davies.
She said: "It's great to get off the mark and get our first points on the board. There's a very long way to go yet, but it's always nice to see our name nearer the top than the bottom of the division.
"It is a very long trip to Gillingham and I'd like to thank the supporters who made the journey there to cheer the team on.
"I hope the three points made it a more enjoyable journey home for them.
"We played some good football in the first two games of the season without getting the results that we perhaps deserved. Now we've got the first win of the season hopefully we can continue with a good result at home to Brighton on Saturday."
