West Kirby Grammar School have been crowned winners of the Football League Under-13 Girls Cup after defeating Weatherhead High in the final.

The tournament, which is run by Tranmere Rovers In The Community, featured four teams in a final group, with the top two playing off for the trophy. Also involved alongside West Kirby and Weatherhead were Hilbre and Wirral Grammar For Girls.

West Kirby will now go on to represent Tranmere at the regional finals in the New Year alongside the winners from Wrexham, Crewe Alexandra, Macclesfield, Port Vale, Stoke City, Blackpool, Preston North End, Chester City and Morecambe.
