Rovers Set For Wembley Representation

St Winifrides RC Primary School are set to represent Tranmere Rovers at Wembley Stadium at the League One Final of the Football League Community Cup.
After negotiating their way through the local stage run by Tranmere Rovers In The Community, the Neston school won the Northern Final at Crewe Alexandra FC.
Their results were as follows:
beat Hereford 3-0
beat crewe 2-1
drew with Scunthorpe 1-1
drew with carlisle 0-0
drew with Walsall 1-0
Semi-Final
drew with Huddersfield 0-0 (won on penalties 4-2)
Final
beat Crewe 1-0
The team has Tranmere connections, with two Rovers Centre of Excellence players involved in Tom Flooks and Joe Hardy, while their assistant manager is Club Chaplain - Father Gerry Courell.
They will contest their final on the pitch at Wembley prior to the League One Play Off Final. Tranmere Rovers In The Community Officer Steve Williams said: "This is a great achievement for the school and we are delighted they will be representing the Club in the national stadium. The team should be very proud of themselves and I wish them luck for the final."
