Community Update - 28/1/10
Tranmere Rovers In The Community are running a six week Saturday Morning Soccer Centre to coincide with the new school term - giving youngsters a great mix of football, fun and games.
The courses, which are held in the Learning Centre at Prenton Park, are all run by qualified coaches and are for both boys and girls aged 4-10 years inclusive. All abilities are welcome, all you need is suitable sports clothing, suitable footwear for Astroturf, shin pads, a drink and plenty of enthusiasm!
The course runs from January 30 - March 6 with each Saturday session taking place from 9.30am - 11.00am, all for just £30.

Wirral NHS Stop Smoking Service in conjunction with Tranmere Rovers in the Community operate a weekly drop in centre based in the Learning Centre at Prenton Park.
It is open from 5.15pm - 7.15pm on Thursday evenings with experts on hand to offer advice and help for smokers who would like to quit.
If your new year's resolution is to quit cigarettes and you want some friendly advice phone the Community department on 608 2354 or simply call in to the centre (based next to the Prentonian) on a Thursday evening.
The disability football development programme has now commenced its weekly community sessions for 2010 with sessions available for both adults and children with varying disabilities.
The adult session takes place on a Monday evening 5.00-6.00pm at Leasowe Recereation Centre with the junior session taking place at Woodchurch High Sports Centre on a Thursday evening between 5.00 and 6.00pm.
The adult team plays in the Cheshire FA Ability Counts League which is held on a monthly basis with the under sixteens also playing in the league from time to time.
We are always on the lookout for new members so if you would like to join the disability football setup please contact disability officer Matty Dabbs on 608 2354. The fee for each session is £2.00 and players of all standards are welcome.
