Tranmere midfielder Paul McLaren has been named the Club's Community Ambassador Of The Season for 2009/10.

Tranmere Rovers In The Community Manager Steve Williams said: "Paul is an experienced professional who attended all his visits in an enthusiastic and informative manner.

"He is an excellent communicator with all age groups who promotes Tranmere Rovers in the correct manner. It's an award he fully deserves."

Paul, who succeeds Chris Greenacre as Community Ambassador Of The Season, received his award at Bidston Avenue Primary School.

The award was presented by headteacher Stuart Brady, who is a long standing season ticket holder at Prenton Park, on behalf of schools from across Wirral.
