The FA is striving to ensure that every person regardless of their disability/impairment who wants to be involved in football has the opportunity to play, train, receive coaching and reach their potential.
Assessment sessions will be held to identify players to be part of the CCFA Centre of Excellence programme for the 2010/11 season. The details are as follows -
Venue: Egerton Youth Club, Mereheath Lane, Knutsford, Cheshire, WA16 6SL
Day &Times: Wednesdays, 6.30pm - 8.00pm
Dates: 14th July, 21st and 28th July 2010
Ages: The Centre delivers a programme for two age groups -
Under 14s (players who are 13 years of age and a minimum age of 11 as at midnight on 31 August 2010)
Under 18s (players who are 17 years of age and a minimum age of 14 as at midnight on 31 August 2010)
• Players must be Male, between the ages of 11 to 17 years by 31 August 2010, have a registered disability/impairment.
• Players within one of the following disability categories would be eligible: Cerebral Palsy, Amputee players, Visually Impaired, Deaf/ Hearing Impaired, Learning Disabilities.
• Currently the CCFA can't provide a suitable service for blind and wheelchair users. There are however football opportunities available for players with these impairments. Please don't hesitate to contact the CCFA for further details.
Players selected for the Centre will be able to still represent their local school/club in competitions.
