Tranmere Rovers' Football in the Community team has played an important part in helping the Merseyside Disability Partnership achieve a national award.

The Partnership has been awarded for it's work in Disability Football in the National Football Development Awards 2005.

The Football in the Community team were involved in a Sports Fun Day for chlidren with special needs held at the Oval Sports Centre on Friday, 1 July.

All special schools in Wirral attended (more than 120 pupils) and Tranmere Rovers Football in the Community delivered am excellent session of football to primary schools in the morning and secondary schools in the afternoon.
