Ronnie Moore hopes Saturday's match video will have shown his squad what where they can improve ahead of Tuesday's game at Swansea.

The Rovers Boss, who spent Sunday going over the tape of the 3-1 defeat at Oldham with the players, told Tranmere World: "We didn't look solid as a unit at Oldham so we'll work on that today and tomorrow. We had the players in on Sunday. It wasn't a matter of running them, it's not the answer when you've got a game on the Tuesday.

"We went through the video and looked at how deep we were. Sometimes you have to show the players as they don't believe you. Players will always put themselves where they should have been, but when you see the video it's never the same.

"The video shows up a lot of things. At times we were too deep and there were one or two other things we spoke about. There were not enough decent crosses if you want to win games. In midfield we didn't get on the ball to give wingers the opportunities.

"Now we go to Swansea which isn't an easy place. They're top of the league and running away with it, but we're more than capable of going there and winning.

"The big things is to not lose, but we won't go there and sit back and defend. We have to pick our moments to get at them.

"We're still well in it, and there are teams below us who think they're well in it so there's no need to get despondent about anything. We need to say we didn't play well as a unit [at Oldham] and go and put that right."

Moore revealed he was still waiting to find out the extent of Ian Goodison's injury, though the defender is certain to miss the trip to Swansea.

He added: "At the moment we're waiting on the scan. He's very sore and can't walk on it which isn't a good sign. He'll definitely miss the Swansea game and it could be weeks rather than days.

"We can't mope about. We know what a miss he has been before but it gives the other lads the opportunity to say 'we didn't play to the best of our ability the last time he was out' and put that right. I have to decide whether to play Shane as the left sided centre back or to bring Antony Kay back in and leave Shane where he is. Ben Chorley has a little calf strain but I don't think it will be too bad that he can't play."
