Ronnie: "We Want A Cup Run"
Ronnie Moore hopes Tuesday night's game against Grimsby Town will be the start of a decent cup run.
Rovers travel to Blundell Park in the Carling Cup hoping to bounce back from a 3-1 opening day defeat at Swindon Town.
The Manager told Tranmere World: "All games are winnable, it's how you play when you get there that counts. The big thing for us is that the game has come quickly. We don't have a week to think about what has gone.
"We want a cup run, there's no doubt about that. Grimsby away isn't easy, but we've got to go there and take the game to them. We're as good as anybody in the league, but you have to go out and produce.
"As individuals and as a unit we didn't defend well on Saturday. It doesn't matter who you're playing, you won't win games defending like that. I hope it's a wake up call for them.
"We'll go through it this morning in training. We'll show Antwi what we wanted him to do and what he didn't do. But he's only young, he's still learning. I'd like to think it was an off day for him and a learning curve for him."
Moore also revealed that the three players who were doubts for Saturday's game were all back in training.
He added: "Danny [Coyne], Chris [Greenacre] and Gareth [Edds] will all train this morning, we'll see how they do. Gareth is probably a week behind because he's been doing fitness work rather than ball work, so this game may come a week too early for him."
