Ronnie: "We Need To Start Putting Chances Away"
Ronnie Moore felt his side had enough chances to win their FA Cup tie at Accrington Stanley.
Rovers had to settle for a goalless draw at the Fraser Eagle Stadium with a replay set to decide who reaches the Second Round.
The Manager told Tranmere World: "We had the clear cut chances in the game, but when you come to places like this in the FA Cup it isn't easy. They've battled and challenged, made it hard and got in our faces. But when you have three one on ones you've got to finish them. Unfortunately for us we didn't and we need to start putting chances away.
"They were all scoreable chances with time to think about them.
"They put balls in our box and we've headed them out. Danny [Coyne] hasn't made a save, their keeper was man of the match. We are disappointed we haven't won it as you don't want another midweek game, but we're thankful we're in the draw. We've got a second chance and we've got to make sure we take it.
"Paul Mullin is a handful but our two centre backs handled him well. Our whole back four defended well and they didn't have any chances."
Meanwhile, the Manager said he would have preferred a home tie in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy after the draw gave them an away trip to Scunthorpe United.
He added: "Whoever you got at this stage it would have been hard. It would have been nice to have got them at home but we'll play them a few weeks before in the league so we'll know plenty about them."
