As if suspensions and impending births weren't enough, Manager Ronnie Moore now has illness to contend with as he works out his potential line up for Saturday's match at Yeovil.

Ryan Shotton, Steve Jennings and Antony Kay all miss the game through suspension while Ian Goodison has been on international duty in Jamaica and is expecting the birth of his child.

Craig Curran is still unavailable due to a stomach injury and Edrissa Sonko, Ian Moore, Gareth Edds and Ben Chorley missed training on Thursday after suffering with flu.

The Manager told Tranmere World: "There's a little bit of flu going round the camp today and there's four lads missing training today. They don't sound too good, that's for sure. It leaves us a bit bare at the moment and we won't know anything more until tomorrow. It will be interesting to see what the roll call is like tomorrow morning before we travel.

"It has been difficult training-wise as there has only been a dozen or so able to train.

"It will be an opportunity for one or two youngsters. You want to be going with your strongest side but that's not to be. But it's an opportunity for other players to go out and play.

"I won't know until you throw them in. Some sink and some swim. We have to hope that if we throw four of them in at least three of them swim."

Meanwhile, the Manager said he expected a reaction from Yeovil following their 5-0 defeat at Stockport in the FA Cup.

"I watched them in midweek at Stockport," he added. "They had a penalty after three minutes and the keeper saved it, and they'd already hit the post, so they could have been two up. They then conceded a goal, had a lad sent off and conceded again direct from the free kick. So I wouldn't take too much out of that performance...Yeovil at home are always tough opponents."
