It was almost all good news on the injury front from Les Parry at his pre-match press conference.
The Manager was happy to report that Marlon Broomes and Paul McLaren had recovered well from the knock and illness that affected them respectively during the Southampton game, but had mixed news on the striker front.
Les told Tranmere Player: "Marlon Broomes' toe is ok so it looks like he'll play. It's bruised and cut but he'll be fine. Paul McLaren felt a lot better yesterday so he'll train today. We probably won't do much with him.
"Bas has a chest infection and a cough and won't train today so we'll see how he is. Terry Gornell is back in today but he's only with the physio team because he hasn't done anything for over a week. He's just been sleeping all the time so we need to get him back into it gradually."
Meanwhile, Les said Ian Goodison's ankle would be monitored through the rest of the season.
He added: "Ian's fine. He had a bit of treatment yesterday to calm it down. He's not going to be 100% now until the end of the season when we're able to rest it and do some further investigation to see if we can do anything in the close season to alleviate the long term problem. It's just going to be a matter of managing it."
