Les Parry was pleased with his side's character after they came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Dagenham & Redbridge.
The Manager had to cope with a number of injuries but Rovers picked up their second point of the season.
He said: "Yesterday and today has probably been the hardest two days since I've been at the Club. Nick Wood went over on his ankle yesterday in training late on. Ian Thomas-Moore came in and said his knee was sore so wasn't able to travel, so we ended up travelling with 17 instead of 18.
"Today Paul McLaren pulled his groin in the warm up so we gave him a little go, we didn't have a centre half on the bench and Joss Labadie does his ankle quite badly by the look of it. So it has been a real rollercoaster.
"It has been an eventful day but the lads showed great character to come back.
"The type of football Dagenham play, they play really, really well and it is difficult to play against them. Our midfielders weren't able to get on the ball because it was over their heads a lot. But full marks to them, I think they deserved to win today to be quite honest, but they didn't."
