Les Parry was delighted with his side's performance as they ran out 1-0 winners over Peterborough United at Prenton Park.
The Manager told Tranmere Player: "Peterborough are a good side and there aren't many sides they won't score against this season, so the fact they had to change it after 25 minutes showed how much we dominated the opening period and they had to match us up. It was a great performance by a very young side.
"It's massive [to get the first home win]. You get fed up of reading and hearing that we haven't won at home, so people can't write that now.
"Adam [McGurk] gave our fans a litte glimpse of what is to come from him, though unfortunately he had to come off after turning his ankle.
"Once Ryan Fraughan gets into the box they have to be careful with him and he got to the byline and put in a great cross for the goal.
"Ian [Goodison] was struggling after he took an elbow to the ribs. Kevin said to me that we'd have to take him off but I said we'd do no such thing, he's staying on, end of subject."
