Tranmere Rovers is making admission to Prenton Park easier for Seniors starting at the beginning of the 2007-08 season.
Under the new system, which will be implemented from the first home game against Leeds United on August 11, Seniors (60+) will be able to pay at the turnstiles in the Kop Stand, Johnny King Stand and Paddocks, provided they show acceptable photographic identification with proof of age. Previously, they had to purchase a ticket in advance.
Identification will need to be shown at every game. Acceptable forms of identification are valid passport, drivers licence and bus / travel pass.
Cash admission for Seniors will be possible through the following turnstiles only (these turnstiles will now be used by both season ticket holders and seniors):
Town Paddock - 2
Bebington Paddock - 28
Kop Stand - 17, 20, 22 and 27
Johnny King Stand - 10 and 13
Chief Executive Mick Horton said: "We want to make it as convenient as possible for supporters to watch games at Prenton Park and we hope our senior fans will welcome this change in system.
"It means Seniors don't have to queue at the Ticket Office before games and hopefully this will be a welcome change, especially in the winter."
As with Adults, Juniors and Young Persons, Seniors wishing to sit in the Main Stand will still need to purchase tickets in advance from the Ticket Office.
Ticket Office opening hours:
Monday - Friday: 9.30am - 5.00pm
Midweek matchnights: 9.30am - kick off
Non-match Saturdays: 10.00am - 1.00pm
Match Saturdays: 10.00am - kick off.
Season ticket holders can gain entry through any turnstile - both the turnstiles for season ticket holders and those for cash admission.
