Later Free Coach Departure Time Added

Posted on: Fri 18 Jan 2008

It has already been announced that the Club is again providing FREE coach travel to the FA Cup Third Round replay at Hereford on Wednesday, 16 January, kick off 7.45pm.

In response to demand from supporters, a second later coach departure time has been added for the game as part of the Club's offer.

The 4.15pm departures are designed for juniors who finish school around 3.30pm and those who cannot get out of work early enough for the 2.30pm departure.

The 2.30pm departures will still operate and supporters should ensure they ask for the correct time when booking their seat. Both options are FREE of charge.

The Club always seeks to include sufficient time for delays and aims to arrive at the ground around 90 minutes before kick off to allow supporters to see the team arrive, warm up and take in the pre-match atmosphere. However, there is always a risk with travel, regardless of the departure time.

Based on advice from the Club's supporters' coach provider, it is estimated that the 2.30pm departure will arrive at Hereford at 6.30pm (one stop planned). For the 4.15pm departure, it is estimated to arrive at 7.40pm (no stops planned and no toilet facilities on board).

Though it is hoped the later departure will arrive at Hereford in time for the 7.45pm kick off, the Club cannot guarantee this.

Chairman Lorraine Rogers added: "We want to make it as easy as possible for all supporters to make the journey to Hereford for free, so we have added a second departure time which is more suitable for those in school or college and those who cannot finish work early enough for the first departure.

"It is a difficult cup tie and we need as much support as possible. It is a very important game and our fans could help determine the outcome of it. The offer may cost the Club money but our fans are worth it."

Winger Chris Shuker added: "It's a big game for the lads. I wish I wasn't injured and that I could be involved, but I'll be there cheering the team on and I hope as many of our fans are there doing the same too."

Due to this match being all ticket for Tranmere fans, supporters wishing to take advantage of the offer must purchase a match ticket at the same time as claiming their coach ticket from the Ticket Office.

Coach tickets must be obtained in advance from the Tranmere Rovers Club Shop / Ticket Office prior to 2pm Tuesday, 15 January (subject to availability). Match ticket prices are as follows:
Adults £15 seating, £13 standing
Over-65s £6
Under-16s £3

Supporters who have already booked on the 2.30pm departure but wish to change to 4.15pm should return their coach ticket to the Ticket Office.

Ticket Office / Club Shop opening hours:
Monday - Thursday: 9.30am - 5.00pm
Friday: 9.30am - kick off
Saturday: 10.00am - 1.00pm
