Steve Davies is likely to make his return from injury in Wednesday's Reserve team fixture at home to Carlisle United.

The winger has missed the last six months with a knee injury picked up against Northampton Town earlier this season.

Manager Ronnie Moore said: "It could be a big comeback game for him.

"He has made great progress and he is at a stage where we think he has to be playing. We're hopeful he will play a big part in the game on Wednesday.

"He has worked very hard with Les and Shukes and the rewards will come that he's back before the end of the season."
