Moore Targetting New Faces
Tranmere Manager Ronnie Moore is looking to the future following the release of four players at the end of the 2007-08 season.
Robbie Stockdale, John Mullin, Mike Jones and Michael Johnston have not been offered new contracts and are available to sign for other clubs.
Stockdale, 28, was one of Manager Ronnie Moore's first signings on returning to the Club in the summer of 2006. He made 88 appearances at right back without scoring.
Mullin, 32, also joined Tranmere in July 2006. He was a regular in the 2006-07 season but only made 13 appearances in 2007-08.
Jones, 20, came through the Youth system at Tranmere and made his first team debut on the final day of the 2005-06 season. In total, he made 13 appearances for the First Team, scoring once against Oldham this season.
Johnston, 20, is another product of the Club's Youth system. He spent much of the season on loan at Bangor City and has signed a two year contract with the Welsh Premier League side.
Tranmere Manager Ronnie Moore said: "I would like to thank the four players for their time at Prenton Park and wish them all the best for the future.
"We're not a million miles away from being a good side and we know the areas we need to focus on. We didn't get enough goals from midfield and defence, and this is something we'll be aiming to improve.
"We're working hard to bring in some new faces to take the Club forward and I'm already looking forward to working with the squad ahead of the new season."
The Club have offered new contracts to Paul McLaren, Steve Jennings, Shane Sherriff, Steve Davies, Paul Henry and Danny Holmes.
Meanwhile, the Club have also offered professional contracts to Second Year Youth Scholars Terry Gornell and Aaron Cresswell, who are a striker and left back respectively.
Supporters are reminded that the deadline is approaching for free shirts for Juniors and 7 free games for Adults season ticket offers at Tranmere Rovers is approaching at 1pm on Saturday 24th May.
