Tranmere will be in the Northern Section - West when the draw for the First Round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy is made on the morning of Saturday, 16 August.
Rovers could be drawn against Accrington Stanley, Crewe Alexandra, Macclesfield Town, Morecambe, Oldham Athletic, Port Vale or Stockport County for the round, with ties being played in the week commencing 1st September.
