Tranmere Rovers defender Ian Goodison has agreed a two-year extension to his contract at the Club until June 2011.
Ian joined Tranmere in February 2004 and has since made more than 230 appearances for the Club.
The Jamaica international has been named supporters' Player of the Season and North West League One Footballer of the Season in the last two seasons.
Ian's displays have helped Tranmere to the third best defensive home record in the division this season, with just 18 goals conceded in 21 games.
The Club is currently 16 games unbeaten at home in League One which has taken them to just one point from the Play Off positions.
Tranmere Manager Ronnie Moore said: "It is great for the Club that Ian has agreed his new contract.
"He has been our most consistent player over the last three seasons and has deserved the awards he has received.
"He is a leader on the pitch, a winner and a player who is prepared to go through the pain barrier for the Club.
"He is a fantastic defender and I'm delighted he will be with us for another two seasons - hopefully in the Championship."
Ian added: "I'm happy to sign a new contract at Tranmere. I've enjoyed my time here so far and look forward to the next two years."
The new contract is subject to his work permit being renewed.
Ian is available for selection for Tranmere's next home match against Hereford United on Easter Monday, 15 April, kick off 3pm.
