Pair Win Community Awards

Posted on: Wed 13 May 2009

Chris Greenacre and John Achterberg have received special awards for their work in the local community.

Greenacre won Tranmere's Community Player of the Season for his unstinting support of community activities throughout the campaign, while John Achterberg then received a special long service award for his community involement over the last ten years.

The pair received their awards during a question and answer session at St Josephs Catholic Primary School (Oxton) with children and teachers Matt Nayland and Tony Evans - both Rovers fans.

Both awards were fully deserved and Danny Coyne was proud to be on hand to present the players with their trophies in his role as PFA delegate at the Club.
