Kay Set To Sign For Huddersfield
Huddersfield Town have today announced that Antony Kay will sign for them next week.
Kay spent the last two seasons with Tranmere, making 98 appearances.
Tranmere Manager Ronnie Moore said: "We made Antony a very good offer to stay at Tranmere but he has decided to join Huddersfield Town.
"Huddersfield offered him a financial package that nobody in this division could match.
"He comes from Barnsley and playing for Huddersfield means it will be much closer to home for him and his young family. A major factor in his decision was that his family couldn't settle here, so the move suits them.
"But we have been aware that he has been talking to other clubs and with him being out of contract at the end of June we have had several targets in mind as potential replacements for some time.
"I wish him all the best at Huddersfield."
