Tranmere's Carling Cup First Round tie against Grimsby Town will take place on Tuesday, 11 August, kick off 7.45pm at Prenton Park.

The match will be the third meeting between the sides in the League Cup. Last season Grimsby won 2-0 at Blundell Park, while back in October 1993, goals from John Aldridge (2), Kenny Irons and Steve Vickers earned Rovers a 4-1 win at Prenton Park and a place in the Fourth Round.
