Chris Shuker says he is enjoying the new style of play introduced by Manager John Barnes during pre-season.
The winger believes it suits new signings Alan Mahon and Paul McLaren and is happy with the way things are progressing.
He told www.tranmererovers.co.uk: "The first couple of weeks were the same as normal because Les took over with all the running. But the balls have been out for a bit now and it has changed quite a bit.
"I think we've improved as time has gone on. I like the passing on the floor, it gets me on the ball a lot. Having players like Alan Mahon and Paul McLaren helps with the way we're playing. The more we can get them on the ball the better for the team.
"I'm pleased with how things are going. I've done well in the running and got myself fit and I felt sharp in the game against Preston. I'm just concentrating on football and doing what I'm good at."
