Tranmere have today completed the signing of striker Sam Morrow from Coleraine for a nominal fee subject to international clearance.

The 25-year old from Derry joined Ipswich Town in 2001 and signed for Scottish Premier League side Hibernian three years later.

He was set to sign for Queens Park Rangers in 2006 but the move was hit by injury and he went on to join Derry City a year later. Morrow left Derry in January to sign for Coleraine and joined Rovers on trial last week. He has been capped by Northern Ireland at under-21 level.

Manager Les Parry said: "I'm delighted to bring Sam to the Club as I've been following him for a while.

"He's a classy striker who knows where the goal is. He has a good attitude, is keen to do well and will be a great addition to our squad."

Sam will be available for Tuesday night's Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie against Accrington Stanley at Prenton Park (kick off 7pm) if international clearance is received in time.
