Along with Brunt, Everton loanee James Wallace could make his Prenton Park debut after starting last weekend at Bournemouth.

Tranmere go into the game in 17th place in League 1 with 31 points from 27 games. A win for Les Parry's side could take them as high as 13th.

Huddersfield come to Prenton Park in second place in the table, ahead of Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday on goal difference and seven points behind leaders Charlton Athletic. On the road the Terriers have five wins and seven draws to their name with just one defeat.

Lee Clark could hand a start to new loan signing Sean Morrison after he joined the club from Reading, but Gary Roberts is out following a hernia operation. Scott Arfield and Alex Smithies are out of action due to injury but Damien Johnson, Callum Woods and Lee Novak could all be in the squad after returning to training.
