e keeps you up to date on the latest injury situation at Prenton Park and who is currently in Les Parry's treatment room...
Things weren't looking too good following Saturday's defeat at Carlisle. Injuries saw Kevin Ellison (ankle) John Mullin (Knee) and Jason McAteer (knee) leave the field of play prematurely. These injuries on top of long standing problems for Calvin Zola (Foot) and Ollie James (foot) meant that Monday was a busy time in Les Parry's treatment room.
Luckily, things may not be as bad as first thought with Mullin and McAteer probably being available for Saturday. Ellison's ankle injury was also not as bad as first feared. Les commented: "When Kevin came off I thought he was going to out for a number of weeks but this morning (Monday) it has settled down well and Kevin is able to walk normally". He is still rated as no better than 40-60 for Saturday's match but his chances of playing in the following Friday's match are much improved.
Calvin's foot continues to improve slowly. He has been absent for over 2 weeks but having sustained a tear in fascia on the bottom of his foot, a return within the next 2 weeks is highly unlikely.
The MRI scan on Ollie James' foot showed a significant tear in the muscles under his foot. He is likely to be sidelined for at least 6 weeks.
