Tranmere Rovers completed the loan signing of goalkeeper Gunnar Nielsen from Manchester City until January 2011 in the summer of 2010.
The 23-year old Faroe Islands international began his career with HB Torshavn before joining Danish side BK Frem Copenhagen. There he caught the eye of Premier League side Blackburn Rovers and he moved to England in July 2007.
He spent time at Motherwell and Wrexham on loan before joining Manchester City last summer and he went on to make his Premier League debut in April.
