Ian joined Tranmere in February 2004 under Brian Little and was an instant success at the heart of the defence.
The former Jamaican international has since played more than 150 times for Tranmere and became team captain in the 2006-07 season.
He was rewarded for a string of Man of the Match awards with a new two and a half year contract in November 2006 and went on to become the Fans' Player of the Season two years in a row.
