Enoch Showunmi joined Tranmere on a two year deal in the summer of 2010.
The striker, 28, signed for Rovers after spending the second half of last season with Scottish Premier League side Falkirk.
Showunmi, who has played twice for Nigeria, began his career at Luton Town in 2003 and played a key role in their promotion campaign in 2004-05. He joined Bristol City in 2006 and helped them gain promotion to the Championship before signing for Leeds United ahead of the 2007-08 season and then Falkirk in January 2010.
