Tranmere Reserves were held to a goalless draw by Accrington Stanley in the Pontin's Holidays League at Prenton Park.
There were chances for both sides with Rovers keeper Shane McWeeney making two excellent saves in the opening twenty minutes.
Adnan Ahmed and Mike Jones came closest for Tranmere in the first half with shots from outside the area, but it wasn't until the 49th minute that the Stanley keeper was forced into a save.
Terry Gornell brought Ian Dunbavin into action with a shot on the turn, while Paul Henry shot into the side netting on 70 minutes.
Gornell tested Dunbavin again on 71 minutes, while Mike Blundell had the ball in the net soon after but Gornell was ruled to have been offside in the build up.
