Reserves: Burnley 0 Rovers 2
Tranmere Reserves ended Burnley's perfect start to the season with a 2-0 win over the Clarets at the Fraser Eagle Stadium.
After Mike Jones had shot over for Shaun Garnett's side early on, Rovers took the lead on 21 minutes with Terry Gornell netting his fourth Reserve goal of the season with a powerful shot after Tom Beahon's initial effort was blocked.
There was another chance for Gornell before the break, while Burnley hit the post in the first minute of the second half.
However, on 56 minutes Tranmere went 2-0 up, with Adnan Ahmed turning in after Gornell stepped over Behaon's pass from the left.
Reserve Manager Shaun Garnett said: "It was a good game, the lads played very well. Burnley had a decent side out so it is a fantastic experience for our young team.
"It was competitive throughout and we played some very good football at times."
