Tranmere Reserves were knocked out of the Liverpool Senior Cup at Skelmersdale United's Ashley Travel Stadium on Tuesday night.

A young look Rovers side featured five first year youth scholars with a further four on the bench, though there were run outs for John Achterberg, Carl Tremarco and Mike Jones.

Youth Coach Shaun Garnett said: "They dominated the first half, but after half time we had the vast majority of possession without turning it into chances."
