Reserves: Tranmere 2 Blackpool 4
Tranmere Reserves suffered a 4-2 defeat at home to Blackpool in the Pontin's Holidays League Division One West on Wednesday night.
After a bright start which saw John Mullin twice go close, Rovers took the lead on 13 minutes. Mullin found Craig Curran on the right and after he cut inside a defender and saw his shot saved, Adnan Ahmed netted from the rebound.
Chris Greenacre twice curled wide from outside the area and the visitors levelled on the half hour. A free kick was sent in from the right and Rovers defender Ash Taylor headed past Peter Kennedy and into his own net.
Three minutes later Blackpool went ahead when Andy Welsh headed in from close range and the lead was doubled on 45 minutes when a free kick was flicked over Kennedy and into the Rovers goal.
Five minutes into the second half the visitors scored their fourth from a corner, and Craig Curran's 72nd minute header from a Tom Beahon cross was just a consolation for Shaun Garnett's side.
