Tranmere Reserves suffered a 2-1 defeat in the Pontin's Holidays League Division One West at Prenton Park on Wednesday evening.
Chris Shuker completed the full 90 minutes on his return from injury and provided the assist for Rovers' goal, setting up Terry Gornell to score from 12 yards with a clever through ball.
The visitors equalised on 35 minutes courtesy of an own goal and they sealed the win on 83 minutes when Alex-Rae Harvey netted from 25 yards.
It was otherwise a match of few chances, with Gornell and Josh Macauley coming closest to adding to Rovers' tally.
