Reserves: Man City 2 Tranmere 2

Posted on: Thu 16 Oct 2008

A late strike from Gareth Edds ensured Shaun Garnett's Reserve side maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 2-2 draw at Manchester City in the totesport.com West Division.

Rovers fell behind on 34 minutes in the match at Hyde United but levelled two minutes later when a cross from Danny Holmes was turned into the City net by a home defender.

A minute after half time some sloppy defending gave City their second, but Edds volleyed in Charlie Barnett's corner at the far post four minutes from time to give Tranmere a point.

Garnett commented: "It was a decent performance from the lads. They applied themselves well and their attitude was good."
