Tranmere Reserves suffered a home defeat against Blackpool in the totesport.com League West Division on Wednesday night.

Josh Macauley fired Shaun Garnett's side into the lead on seven minutes when latching onto a stray pass in the Blackpool defence and firing in from the edge of the penalty area, but the visitors levelled five minutes before half time.

Dave Wilson shot over for Rovers from close range on 50 minutes from a Paul Henry cross before the Tangerines took the lead on 65 minutes.

Blackpool went 3-1 up on 78 minutes with a close range finish, and though Henry volleyed in from a George O'Callaghan corner two minutes from time, it wasn't enough for Rovers.
