Terry Gornell scored the only goal of the game as Tranmere Reserves claimed a 1-0 win over Preston North End in the totesport.com League West Division at Chorley Town.

Gornell struck in the 48th minute, converting from a Dave Wilson corner.
Reserve Coach Shaun Garnett said: "It was a good performance from the lads on a poor pitch.
"They adapted their game to suit the conditions and played very well."
