Tranmere Reserves lost their Cheshire Premier Cup semi-final against Macclesfield at Prenton Park on Wednesday night.
After Max Power and Kithson Bain had tested the visiting keeper, Rovers went behind on seven minutes when a cross was converted at the far post.
However, three minutes later Rovers levelled with Bain powering in a shot from close range.
The Grenada international doubled his tally on 33 minutes with another low drive only for Macclesfield to level three minutes before half time.
On 65 minutes Andy Coughlin saved a penalty from Macclesfield's John Rooney, but the striker was on hand to convert the rebound, and seven minutes later the visitors completed the scoring to book a place in the final against Crewe Alexandra.
