A Steve Davies hat-trick helped put Rovers through to the knock out stages of the Pontin's Holidays League Cup at Bloomfield Road.
The striker opened the scoring on 14 minutes when the Blackpool keeper dropped a Chris Dagnall cross, and Dagnall followed up four minutes later to put Rovers two ahead after being set up by Calvin Zola.
On 35 minutes Davies grabbed his second from a Dagnall assist and he completed his treble on 73 minutes from ten yards, with Paul Brown the provider.
Tranmere: Palethorpe, James, Lovell, Holmes, Johnston (Dickinson 78), Fowler (Henry 50), Brown, M Jones, Dagnall (Garry 87), Zola, Davies. Substitutes not used: Connolly, Holden.
